My Passion for Teaching
As for teaching, my passion started when I was very young! With both my parents being NYC DOE teachers, and just being around them and also getting to visit their jobs when I was younger, I realized it was something I always wanted to do. I have always been surrounded by education and also really drawn to helping others when it comes to sharing what I learn. Being an older sister, I think having that natural ability of helping those younger than me with learning is something that has always just been innate and wired into how I function. I have always loved helping others when it comes to learning, but I also love learning myself. I knew being a teacher from a very young age, I would get to have the best of both worlds when it came to learning and getting to continue to learn. I also was very lucky to have such a great experience with my own teachers in my academic career which truly inspired me because I wanted to make an impact on students, the way they did for me. I want to be the type of teacher who helps students achieve more then they think they are capable of and teach them to not only be great students, but great people and future leaders!
